The Bible contains many prophecies regarding the future and the Bible is accurate and specific in what it says. We have evidence about the truth of scripture, in the many prophecies that have already come true and so we can believe what the Bible says about what will happen in the future. First of all what do we mean by prophecy? Well Strong's Concordance gives the definition:
It is surprising how many people turn to horoscopes and fortune telling to try to find out what the future holds in store for them, but not to the Bible! |

Such things only speak in broad generalisations, and no one can really say what will happen in the future. All we can ever do is make predictions based upon likely possibilities. The Bible contains many prophesies regarding the future, but unlike horoscopes, almanacs or fortune tellers, we can rely totally upon what the Bible tells us. The Bible does not speak in riddles or vagaries, but rather of specific events that will happen in the future. It tells us what our future will be if we make certain choices in life. The Bible predicts as certainties events that will take place in the not-so-distant future, world shattering events that will effect everybody. |
Please take a look at look at some of the many prophecies that have already come to pass. Then take a look at prophesies about what will occur in the future.
